Embalse de Béznar: Pinos del Valle - Ermita del Cristo del Zapato

This route climbs up to the Ermita del Cristo del Zapato from the Embalse de Béznar. The route is 10.7 km long, has an elevation of 524 m and takes about 4 hours to complete.

LONG DESCRIPTION

This mainly linear route starts by the Embalse de Béznar. From here, we follow the Sendero de Alauxa to Pinos del Valle. We walk through the village and then start the steady ascent, zigzagging up to the Ermita del Cristo del Zapato at 1020 m. Here, there is a viewpoint with amazing views of the surrounding areas. This is the highest point of the route. We then follow the same track down but halfway down, we follow the track to the right and make our way gently down to the Cerro de los Cigarrones. Once again, we walk through the village to return back to the starting point.

Can you pay in cash: Half the reason for charging is so that we can raise money for a worthy charity . The other half of the reason for charging is that people put their name down for walks without the intention of actually doing the walk and never turn up. Charging in advance is a way of avoiding this.

Can you come without signing up: Everything has its price. If you arrive without signing up we would accept 10 euros per person payed in cash. We only accept notes. We have no change.
